Terms
and Conditions
- Edu-Asia Tuition Services (henceforth known as the
Edu-Asia) will contact the tutor once there is a suitable
assignment available.
- Both Tutors & Parents are expected to commit at least
one month of tutoring. This is the minimum period for
both students and tutors to get used to each other's
learning and teaching styles. Should there be exceptional
cases where tuition has to be cancelled before the one
month, parents need only to pay for the number of lessons
attended. Another tutor will be introduced.
- Edu-Asia is entitled to a commission of 50% of the
agreed first month's tuition fee. The student is contractually
bound to pay the commission sum to the Agency not later
than 2 weeks after the first tuition session. At the
end of the first four weeks, the student is obliged
to pay the tutor the balance 50% of the tuition fees.
For subsequent months, the student will pay the tutor
directly the full tuition fees.
For
Tutor Registration
Tutors are to meet the following criteria and abide by
the following terms and conditions:
- All tutors must reside in Singapore.
- All tutors must possess relevant and adequate academic
qualifications above the subject(s) that he/she is tutoring.
- Upon request by students, tutors should show their
relevant certifications for verification.
- The tutor is required to be PUNCTUAL for all tuition
sessions. In any case that the tutor will be late, the
tutor will have to contact the student/ parent.
Cancellation
- Upon acceptance of an assignment, the tutor shall
be deemed to have accepted all the clauses of this agreement.
- In the event that the Tutor decides not to take the
assignment (before the commencement date), he/she MUST
give 3 working days Notice to Edu-Asia, failing which
an adminstrative fee of SGD $50/- will apply.
- The tutor is required to complete at least one full
term of tuition service, failing which, the student/
Agency has the right of refusal to make good any payment
for tuition services rendered prior to the completion
of the full term. The tutor is required to pay the agency
fee of 50% if he/ she stops the service during the initial
two weeks.
